About
Philosophy
"Vis medicatrix naturae" - The healing power of nature. Fundamental to the practice of naturopathy is a profound belief in the body to heal itself, given the proper opportunity.
Naturopathic philosophy maintains that the body has an innate intelligence that is always striving for health.
Naturopaths believe that the symptoms accompanying disease are the result of our body's attempt to defend and heal itself.
Symptoms then, are part of a constructive phenomenon that is the best in 'choice' our body can make, given the circumstances.
For the naturopath, the approach must be supportive of the body's own processes.
My personal philosophy is that we are created beings and that our body's are amazingly designed rather than formed by chance.
For wellness, a person must have a physically, mentally and spiritually balanced lifestyle. Neglect in any area will result in imbalance and dysfunction.
"New Age" philosophies are not part of my approach to natural health care.
My personal aim is to provide outstanding natural health care and education to empower every patient, encouraging them in their own healing process. I look forward to meeting you and discussing your personal health needs, with a particular focus on how we can help you to regain then maintain optimum health.
